Goodwill Industries of North Florida is currently seeking an Store Manager. As a Store Manager -Various Locations. retail store you will be responsible for meeting established goals and monitoring budgeted expenses. Manage the processing of donated goods and work with assistant managers to ensure staff is trained and that good customer/donor relations are maintained by setting high standards of customer service.

Required Skills:

Proficiency with POS reporting procedures.

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver¡¦s license.

Be able to perform basic skills on a computer.

Must be able to read and comprehend.

Must be able to do basic math calculations using a calculator.

Able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays

Must be able to use a computer/iPad and have basic office knowledge of Office programs. Must be able to use basic office equipment such as telephone, cash register, and fax.



Management Duties:

Supervises and is the primary authority concerning processing of donated materials in a timely manner following the production system, including supervision, staffing, and management of remote Donation Centers.

Contributes toward store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales, manage inventory and labor costs. Responsible for store revenue goals and budgeted expenses.

Maintains daily and weekly reports.

Ensures the accuracy of all cash handling and cash register functions. Ensures proper accounting for all store revenue.

Maintains final accountability for store operations.

Ensures the proper types and amounts of supplies are ordered and stocked.

Trains and develops management team.

Expects and encourages full participation of management team in accomplishing store goals.

Schedules daily and weekly staffing requirements.

Resolves employee complaints and concerns, provides ongoing performance feedback, conducts formal performance appraisals and counsels employees when necessary.

Administers disciplinary actions under general auspices of the Human Resources department and in coordination with the regional manager.

Ensures all company policies, store standards and procedures are communicated effectively to staff and maintained and followed in a consistent manner.

Organizes work throughout the store in a manner that facilitates efficient customer service and profitable operation.

Ensures store appearance is properly maintained.

Ensures compliance with all store policy and procedures as outlined in the Store Manual, the Employee Handbook, and the Worker’s Compensation manual.

Ensures good customer/donor relations by maintaining high standards of customer service as outlined by the customer service manual.
